Day for Life   Second collection on Sunday 16th June

Day for Life is celebrated yearly by the Catholic Church in Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. It is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the meaning and value of human life at every stage and in every condition. The proceeds of the Day for Life collection held in parishes will be used for the promotion of the dignity of the human person through the distribution of grants. We welcome applications from projects that support this aim, and this year especially welcome those working with victims and survivors of domestic abuse. Your donation is greatly appreciated. SEW FOR ST PETER’S As you may already know, our school is very keen on being eco-friendly. As a school we are very good at recycling! We are now turning our focus to reducing and re-using. A new project  we are taking on is to use old material scraps to make tote bags. The aim is to sell the bags at a Pre:Love sale we will be organising in July. (more details to follow) Through making and selling these, we will be encouraging people to RE-USE, and make something new out of something old! Can you help? We are taking donations of material, but are also looking for keen sewers, who would be keen to help us by making some of these bags. Please contact the school office on 01628472116 and ask to speak with Jennifer Boyle who would provide you with a pattern. Many thanks!
