Marlow London Run Christmas 2011 “Goodie Bag” Appeal
Please help the Homeless and Disadvantaged of London this Year by Making up a Christmas “Goodie Bag”
This year’s Christmas run to the homeless will be on Monday, 12th December.
Volunteers go up from Marlow and Wycombe every Tuesday evening to the homeless of London, not just at Christmas. We always have a need for blankets, sleeping bags and men’s clothes, teabags and coffee, sandwiches, crisps, fruit, etc. And donations to cover petrol and car costs are always welcome. At this time each year we make a special effort and distribute Christmas “Goodie Bags” to the homeless. As a guide, each bag should contain:-
A tin of cooked meat (preferably ring pull)
A savoury sandwich and, if possible, a sweet sandwich
A mince pie or cake, piece of fruit and bar of chocolate or sweets
A can of soft drink, a Christmas card and a small gift such as socks, scarf, gloves or woolly hat.
But, of course, feel free to include whatever else you think a homeless or disadvantaged person might appreciate at Christmas.
Please, if you can, make up a “Goodie Bag” for one of London’s homeless and take it to the OLD PUGIN HALL, St Peter’s Church, St Peter’s Street. Marlow between 1pm and 6pm on the day. A member of the group will be there. If you have any queries please telephone Ron Davis on 01628 484042 or Roger Flavell on 07802533233
