will be in the Hampden Chapel at Chilterns Crematorium on Monday Feb 6th at 11.00 a.m.. May he rest in peace. Amen
RECEIVING HOLY COMMUNION IN THE HAND (A gentle reminder might be helpful for some). It is suggested that you hold out your two hands, one on top of the other, to receive the Lord. This makes a worthy “throne” or cross on which to receive the Lord. The bottom hand is then used to take the sacred host from the top hand and consume it while still in front of the priest. Please do not walk away with the sacred host in your hand. It is forbidden to “self intinct.” This means you may not dip your host into the precious blood in the chalice.

CHRISTMAS MEAL This year the meal for those alone a Christmas was arranged at the Pugin Rooms. From the day’s surplus £50 has been donated to the London Run for which we give our heartfelt thanks to the organisers and all concerned.
THE LONDON RUN CHRISTMAS “GOODIE BAG” RUN We’re pleased to say that this year St Peter’s Church and School produced over 130 goodie bags for delivery to the homeless and disadvantaged in London. By the time we reached London on 12th December strong winds were blowing sleet and icy rain in all directions which made the near freezing conditions feel much colder. Amazingly, there were still about 50 people patiently waiting for us at Lincoln’s Inn Fields. We supplied them all with bags and then went on to the Embankment where we found about a further dozen people in a more sheltered spot. Thankfully, Tuesday evening was much calmer and warmer. This time we found many more people congregating and rapidly gave out all our remaining bags. It is difficult to convey how much your gifts were appreciated. We can simply pass on the thanks we were given and quote several people who said, “it’s nice to know there is somebody thinking of us at Christmas”. We currently need more volunteers to help in our weekly runs to London’s homeless. If you are interested please contact Ron Davis (01628 484042) or Roger Flavell (01628 485397)
